It’s January, time to reflect on the previous year and look forward to 365 new opportunities to learn, be happy and enjoy life. For me, it’s a time when I can look back at all of the photos I took in 2018 and choose my favorites. I smile at the memories that flow from that special moment in time. The memories that are now captured forever. I have so many favorites, but here are 10 for you to enjoy!
This fun wedding photo was taken at Courtney and Trent’s wedding this summer at Roy’s Barn outside of Bozeman. Roy’s Barn is an incredible wedding venue with a spectacular backdrop of the Bridger Mountains. I submitted this photo for consideration in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s A Montana Wedding Magazine and it was published! I was so excited!

Weddings…I LOVE weddings! Jessica and Walt allowed me to share their special day at Hyalite Reservoir just outside of Bozeman. They were married at the pavilion and we took a number of photos of this beautiful couple on the little bridge next to the pavilion.

This photo was taken at the Montana Grand Assembly Rainbow Girls annual convention. They raffled off a rainbow afghan and I loved the emotion she showed when her name was drawn.

I started boudoir photography in December 2017. This is one of my favorite photos. I loved showing this client her photos and showing her how incredibly beautiful and sexy she is. My boudoir clients have been so happy with their photos and I can’t wait to share with even more people in 2019!

These incredible turquoise rings were handmade by the groom’s grandpa. The bride’s sisters made paper flower bouquets for all of the bridesmaids. I love to capture the little details that the bride and groom might not have enjoyed on their big day.

Prior to the wedding, the bride let me know one photo that she really wanted. We were able to capture this tender moment between the bride and groom before the ceremony. What a special memory and she was so happy that we were able to capture it.

My son Nathan earned his Eagle Scout award in December. I am so proud of the young man he has become. We celebrated by taking photos in the studio. He wanted to have one with Tazz in it. I love that he let me take his photo and that he wanted Tazz in the photo. Teenage boys don’t like their photo taken. Proud mama!

This senior photo was taken at the end of summer when the light was really warm and low. Summer lighting is so incredible! His dad arranged the location and the old cars for this session. I love how excited his dad was about the photos. Special memories to last when they grow up.

We got our new Australian Labradoodle puppy Tazz in May. This photo was taken at her first campout at Crow Creek. The larkspur flowers were in full bloom and made for a special photo of two things I love – wildflowers and Tazz.

This photo is of my 4 year old nephew and his mom. At first he wasn’t too excited to hold still while I got everything set up. We got out his new sticker book and I took the opportunity to capture some lifestyle photos of the two of them. I love the studio lighting here too.

I hope you enjoyed these 10 favorite photos from 2018. Will you be in one of my 2019 top 10 photos? Contact me today to book your session!
